Decent coffee and nice people but man... this is the only Starbucks I've been through where you will wait 15 to 20 minutes for a coffee. Very very slooow.
Starbucks is usually pretty consistent- great coffee, great customer service etc...sadly that is NOT the case with this establishment.
I ordered a carry out box of coffee at the drive-through and they told me that it was about 10 minutes to complete the order but that I could pay through the drive through and then run in to pick it up when it was done.
After waiting the allotted time they set- I went in to pick it up, and the box was just sitting being the barista who was taking orders at the register. I waited by the pick up counter watching the barista take orders of 4 customers before turning around to fill up my box. She filled one cup and turned around the helped 2 other customers. Meanwhile no one acknowledged me, or checked in to tell me it would be a few more minutes. At this time I decided I should maybe stand in line to find out what was going on.
The barista behind the counter rudely asked me what she could get for me- I let her know I was waiting for the box or coffee and told me that they were busy and that she was working on it- to which I replied I just watched you help 4 people- and I've now been waiting 18 minutes. The barista instead of apologizing said should've called ahead . Needless to say, the customer service is SUBPAR at best.
Hope they realize, a little communication can go a long way.
This is by far not one of my favorite Starbucks locations for comfort, it's small and cramped and when it gets busy, it's an absolute unbearable madhouse but when it comes to customer satisfaction, it's at the top of my list. Seth, Jesse, Alexandra, and other staff have indeed mastered the art of customer satisfaction. It would be fantastic if this Starbucks would move to another location in a stand alone building and not share with a a bank. I've seen many customers walk into the bank embarrassingly in error. Well, I know which door to pull on and will continue to patronize this location when I'm in the area.
I was staying in Bastrop for business and ended up here a few times during my stay. This is the only location in the area. This location is hard to find because it is part of a bank, but it has its own door and drive through.
The 1st visit I went through the drive through. I ordered a latte and espresso beans. I was told they did not sell espresso beans and the cashier seemed to not know what I was asking for. I was confused by this as they typically have these at all locations. I gave up on trying to explain when the cashier insisted they did not sell them.
Later that day I was back and the line in the drive through was super long so I went inside. Low and behold there was an entire container of espresso beans. I pointed out to the other cashier that when I came by that morning I was told they did not carry them. She stated they always have them.
The staff were not rude, but they seem to be just going through the motions of their job. Other locations seem to be more focused on customer service.
Five stars for the amazing, and accommodating staff that work here.
Five stars for having fresh coffee, even in the later afternoon.
Two stars for sharing a building with the bank?
Two stars for the confusion of trying to figure out why a Starbucks would share the same building with the bank.
Three stars for the bathrooms, adequate....
I am aware that this particular Starbucks, has a lot of bad reviews, and I do have to disagree with those bad reviews. I came here for the bathrooms in the coffee, I got a lot more than just bathrooms and coffee, had a wonderful experience, because the staff were so helpful.
